Leanings of a Scott.

Just thought I would quickly share what I learnt from the learned man before I actually go into despair of knowing that I would be leaving the valley and someone whom I love very much, and friends whom I have met and grown accustomed to- my mentors, friends, colleagues etc.

Key decisions you make in life would be people decisions.
Be aggressive timely, know when to fight for it or not.
Anger no one.
Business = selling
Life is about selling.
Let others be sold to you
Be a source of inspiration for the future generations (esp. your offspring- let them have someone to look up to and emulate- although, don't expect)
Being open-sourced takes courage. (take this personally)
1. But it helps others help you. (0 barrier to entry to developments)
2. Enormous assimilation
3. Reduced R&D costs
4. You don't have to worry about security (breeches)
5. Eliminates barriers to exit for user
If you don't enjoy doing something- why do it.
Aim to translate complicated ideas into layman's terms.
You don't create leaders- you identify them.
Be a person of Integrity, Intelligence, Smarts, Fairness and Physically capable.
